A Wedding

On June 14th we gathered with family and friends to witness the beautiful wedding of Robbie and McKenzie.  It was such a lovely day!  We felt so blessed to be part of the celebration. And we are so excited for them to begin their life together!

Wedding week began with a shower of love and blessings on the beautiful bride.

Bride and bridesmaids.  I love these girls!

Father of the bride.  Wedding coordinator.  Packing extraodinaire.  Sign maker.  Always going above and beyond.  I could go on and on about the attributes of this man!

Pedicures with mom and the sisters.

For the bachelorette party, the bride had to dawn a princess hat and fairy wings and then ask couples for marital advice in downtown Billings.  (:

Patiently waiting for their turn to practice walking down the aisle.

 Wedding rehearsal!

The more skits, singing, laughing, game playing, the better for the Hill family!  They are an amazing group of people!

You might be a Hill kid if...

Morning of the wedding and time to get pretty!

 The sisters...love these two!

Kenz's college roommate was a huge help to the bride and the maids.

Mom and Kenz sharing a last moment.

 Almost show time!

Robbie and Kenz's first moment together.

Who knew hanging outside of a barn window could be so fun!

We had a great time with pictures.

It was such a beautiful, happy day.  Corn hole was quite a hit with the guests.

The bridesmaids having fun at the photo booth.

OMG...these two!  So handsome!

Getting a squeeze from Aunt Linda and Uncle Chuck.

Moments before their walk down the aisle.

The wedding party taking a break and eating some yummy dinner!

View of where the ceremony took place from inside the Big Yellow Barn.

Meg and I had fun putting the dessert table together.  Friend Becky made the cake for the bride and groom.

 First dance.

Father daughter dance...and lots of tears from those of us watching.  (:

 Robbie and his mom...so sweet!

The boys had a great time at their first wedding!

They loved playing outside with all the kids and running around the barn.

Congratulations Kenzie & Robbie!

School's Out!

The boys finished up a great year of Kindergarten and Second grade last week.  We're officially on summer break even though you'd never know it with our rainy, cold weather!

Morgan had a great time in soccer this spring.

Great coach and great team mates!

I went to Alaska for work earlier this month and visited a wildlife conservation center.

 Also saw glaciers from afar.

The bikes were abandoned in order to check out a bunch of lady bugs...

Jacoby had a great year in Second grade.  He's looking forward to Lego engineering camp and basketball camp this summer.

 Practicing shooting their sling shots

Morgan is also doing a few camps this summer.  Both boys are enjoying listening to the Harry Potter series in the car.

They had a blast at a pirate birthday party last weekend.

Jacoby and his BFF.  Of course we will be having lots of play dates this summer so these two don't go into withdrawal from not seeing each other!

 Morgan graduated from Kindergarten.

We really enjoyed Miss T. this year.  Morgan has really become a good reader and learned so much!

Another great milestone for this little boy!

The boys are thrilled to be out of school.  Jacoby has a massive pile of books he plans to read through this summer.

Here's the Big Summer List with more of their plans

I ran the BolderBoulder 10K today with friends from work today.  It's my very favorite race!

The boys and I head to Montana in just a few weeks.  Justin defends his dissertation defense on June 1.  And then who knows what awaits after that!

Spring and Things

Gracious, I can't believe how long its been since my last post!  We have been busy!

Here are a few headlines:

Grandpa Michael and Grandmanette visited us in March and we enjoyed our time with them very much.

The boys love trips to the bookstore with Grandpa Michael.

We also inherited this lovely buggy from them, which we are truly grateful for.

We got in a lot of skiing this spring and the boys have really progressed well.

Jacoby even rides the chair lift by himself!

Introducing Team Fire, Morgan's soccer team.

He's had a great time with his team and coach.

 Aunt Kenzie visited us!

And Aunt Kenzie is getting married on June 14th!  She and I went wedding dress shopping while she was here...so fun and we're so excited for their special day!

We had a quiet Easter at home with a Lego egg hunt, church service, and simple feast.

The boys enjoyed a couple of fun play dates with their BFFs during spring break.  They only have five weeks of school left!

Grandpa Bill joined us for our last day of skiing and it was a blast.

It was the best way to end the season.

And then we got to work on a special project I've had in my sights for awhile.

It was all hands on deck for this one!

My main job was keeping the builders fed and watered properly. (:
 And supervising, of course. (:

The pergola turned out great and we were so thankful for Grandpa Bill's time and expertise.

Can't wait to get some lights and hanging planters set up!

And I had to get spectacles for reading and computer time, which seems like all the time.  But I'm embracing my inner nerd and hopefully the art of gracefully getting older, wiser, and more mature. (:
