Trip to the High Country

We spent a lovely day in the Colorado high country this weekend. We drove up to Mt. Evans (14, 258 ft elev.), hiked to the summit (from the parking lot), and played around on the rocks before enjoying a picnic at Echo Lake. It was a beautiful day and a great reminder of why we enjoy living in Colorado so much (we've been here 6 years now!).

Mt. Bierstadt (14,060 ft elev.). Once upon a time, we climbed this with Uncle Jared.

The fresh air and high elevation made for a very sleepy boy
