Good Buddies

We enjoyed a great family picnic at the school last week. It was fun to watch all of the kids and meet more parents. I got to talk to a mom about food allergies which was kind of nice (well, the subject wasn't nice but at least the companionship part of it was). The boys and I met friends at the zoo on Saturday and spent a great morning wandering and looking at all of our favorites. It was the maiden voyage of our new double buggy, which both of the boys loved. I need to get a few pictures of them in it. It was a struggle for me to decide whether or not we really needed another piece of kid gear, but since we're going to be without Daddy for the next 6-8 months on many of our outings we decided to go for it. So, the buggy is very cool and will be good for the boys and me but we still miss Daddy a lot.

I spent much of the weekend purging through each room and making piles for donation, consignment, Craigs List, school, and recycling. We also spent a lot of time outside in the yard. But our favorite moments of the week were watching Jacoby and Morgan interact with each other. They've become such good little buddies and have great affection for one another. Jacoby is very good about showing Morgan how things work and getting him involved in play. He's also a very good helper when Morgan needs something. Morgan is great comic relief and helps his older brother not take things so seriously. They hold hands when we walk into school (and I always hear a bunch of "aaahhs" and "they're so sweet!" as we go by (: ). Don't get me wrong, they definitely have their share of sibling moments but for the most part really seem to enjoy being brothers. Here are a couple of videos from the week.

In this video, Jacoby is singing and playing along to two of his favorite Jeff Kagan songs called The Bobcat Walk and Rattle Snake Shake while Morgan dances. Oh, and I only have one word for the mess you see in this video: Justin.
