It was another busy week for us, but we took advantage of our beautiful weather and headed up to Winter Park on Saturday. After only an hour and a few trips down the bunny slope, Jacoby was complaining about his feet and showing a general lack of interest. So, we had a snack and then Justin decided to take him down the tow-bar run which has more slope to it, and all of a sudden Jacoby was skiing! He was balancing by himself and having fun skiing out ahead of Justin. It soon became clear that he really wanted to go on the chair lift, so Justin decided to take him up for his first green run, and before I knew it the child was skiing away with his dad and having a great time. He claps and flaps his hands when things are going well. We still have a ways to go with snow-plowing, but who needs to be able to slow down or stop when you have Daddy to do that for you?! So, instead of staying only a few hours, we were there most of the day. Morgan and I had fun hanging out at the bottom of the hill, watching the gazillion other skiers who had shown up for the day. He's really patient with all of the ski stuff and likes the Winter Park wagons. We headed back to the car for lunch while Jacoby and Justin skied two more runs. It was a very fun day, and a beautiful time up in the mountains.
